Today we went to Eerde.
While talking with John and
with the head of scouting, and a few schoolteachers,
we saw the parachutists landing on historic grounds.
In 1944 the gliders lande nearby,
so we went there too.
A lot of military vehicles drew a lot of attention.
Witnesses of the battle were still in the wall
of the farm: deep bulletholes.
In St. Oedenrode we had a nice talk
with th re-enacters of the Pr. Irene Brigade,
and two of the people who run a museum nearby.
(They'll have wonderful sweaters soon!!!)
