Jumping from a plane with a WW2 parachute requires special training
and this is tested a couple of times each year.
This was the first harness test of the year.
The jumper is hanging in the harness
and he has to show what he does when jumping out of the plane.
So he has to go through all the moves.
Added to this are emergency situations
and the jumper has to reply immediately with the right actions.
This is not only to enhance behavioral repertoire,
but also to avoid panic
and consolidate motor/muscle memory.
Before the test the equipment has been tested and certified,
so when the opportunity for a jump arises,
all the acquired administation has been done
and the gear is ready.
Today it was impossible to jump
due to the horrible weather.
